NZ Part 1: Photos

Lord of the Rings--they're just a bit proud of it, as the welcome statue welcomes us to Auckland.
Starting work for Jutta and Rudi--removal of the bathroom counter.
So much public works!  I'm lounging on the art form benches.
Handsome boy in a handsome city.
Someone's afraid of the dark that will come.
Baller's got dope (well, actually just loads of cash).
Our hike to a damn...
Oh, you know, just standing in the superlative beauty of the other side of the world.
Look, I fit in the car!  Until it eventually got too creepy.
Quick, pretend to like one another!
Daw, he's so cute.  By which I mean rugged and manly.
I'm flying, Jack!
Look at those muscles.
The beetle bit the stick.
Climbing the damn stairs...
We checked out the tidepools.
This nutcase loves swimming in the coldest water.
Our woodshed... which took about twice as many hours as it should have... but it looks great and is just what they wanted!
A view of the Auckland and surrounding skyline.  Not so bad.
Using the stove for the first time.  Yum!
Peter and Colleen, our Kiwi dad and mom.
Not even fake.
Tony the mechanic's son's drifting car, which his son wrecks and then Tony subsequently fixes.
We shall see a kiwi bird, whether they like it or not!
Mussel fritter at Waitangi Day.
Mussel burger at Waitangi Day.
Jan Robertson must be Susie Homemaker.  I swear she entered at least one item in every single category at the A & P Show.
See the splash!  Great timing!
No big deal, just checking out the coast line of NZ.
Kerekere beach.
If you hold really still and look closely, you'll see the monkey in the tree.
Hmmm.  He's going into more icy water.  I'm beginning to see a pattern.
The "King Tide" aftermath of exposed rocks.
Cutie!
Another monkey!
Tane Mahuta, the legendary 2,000 year old tree.
Sheep shearing.  Don't worry, the sheep get a cigarette and pastry afterward.
